LAMBERTVILLE, NJ—Luscious florals, shimmering beaches and light-drenched colors set the stage for "Water Light" at the Artists' Gallery in Lambertville, featuring the paintings of Eric Rhinehart and Carol Sanzalone. "Water Light" opens Friday, July 6 and runs through Sunday, August 5. The artists will host an opening reception Saturday, July 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Gallery. The artists will also host a "Coffee and Conversation" on Sunday, August 5th from 2 to 5 p.m.
Sanzalone has called Lambertville home for over 40 years, and she draws inspiration from the seasonal changes of the rolling hills and calming open spaces throughout the Delaware Valley. "Ferry Street Color," included in the exhibit, is a prime example of the vibrant vision that Sanzalone brings to her paintings.

"My work is often a meditation on a specific place, or a feeling that it inspires. I can approach a familiar scene over and over again, each time seeing it and painting it with a fresh eye," said Sanzalone. "I immerse myself in changes in color and texture as the day and the seasons change."
Eric Rhinehart delves into subjects that are a bit further from his Summit, New Jersey home. Inspiration for his watercolors flows from travels to the Caribbean, England, Spain and France, as well as Martha's Vineyard and the Chesapeake Bay area of Maryland.

"Young Diver" is typical of Rhinehart's work—fluid and inviting. Exotic, yet familiar. "I try to balance the undercurrent relationship between color and light," said Rhinehart. "They each play an important role in describing the physical and emotional weight of my subjects."
Together, the works of Sanzalone and Rhinehart offer a compelling exhibit, as each expands upon themes of beauty, serenity, wistfulness and joy in their own, unique way. Dive into the "Water Light" show at the Artists' Gallery this July.
