In my 40+ years as a photographer, I have said goodbye to film and newspapers and welcomed the digital age. I’ve had the privilege of capturing a wide range of subjects, from youth football games to the World Series, small-town politics to visits from world leaders, the best and worst of people, everyday life to the quirkiest of happenings, and everything in between. Being on a local stage has been a truly transformative experience, broadening my perspective while filling my heart with the wonders of the world.
Always have I enjoyed the natural world around me wherever I may be. Photography has always been an avenue of discovery. I have always found joy in exploring new and distant places, or even rediscovering the familiar right here at home. Sharing that joy through art is something that truly nourishes my soul. It has taught me to slow down, stop, look, see, and feel. This chapter of discovery has really brought me full circle on my photographic journey. I’m exploring to create with a broader understanding of technology, but I’m still that wide-eyed, child-like explorer, discovering the world around me. I’m so excited to share the places I’ve been and the amazing things I’ve seen, trying to capture the feeling of each moment as it happened. Photography has been my life. It is all I ever wanted to do.
