Watercolor and oil paint are my mediums of communication;
color is the language I use to create light, line, space, texture, and rhythms.
I paint what is exotic to me in my daily life. I like to create startling contradictions between the everyday and the unknown. Sometimes the unexpected or bizarre compositions become a springboard to fantasy for me and hopefully the viewer.
I have had solo exhibits in the Princeton area, New York, and Philadelphia, and I have participated in juried group exhibitions. I have taken workshops in the U.S and Europe.
I have attended four-year art appreciation courses at the Barnes Foundation in Merion, Pennsylvania, where I began to learn how to see the "art in painting."
I am a signature member of the Garden State Watercolor Society. I am an elected member of the N.J. Watercolor Society.
